Her Boydan’s Authorship Academy

Her Boydan’s Authorship Academy serves as an educational process for international students to grow into authors or editors for the journal “Her Boydan” to be released by international students pursuing education in Türkiye.

TERMS of APPLICATION

1. Currently studying in any level/department of a university in Türkiye,
2. Being an international student (of foreign origin),
3. Having taken and completed a Turkish introduction course at TOMER for a year,
4. Being interested in literature, and willing to publish any publication of stories, essays, poems, and so on,
5. Currently residing in any town of Türkiye,

Announcement of Eligible Applicants	February 16, 2024
Mode of Announcement	Applicants shall be informed by their email they declared at the time of their application.

 

DETAILS

 

Travel:

o    From One City to Another: Applicants eligible to join the Academy shall be provided with travel sponsorship worth up to TRY 3,000 on condition that they submit their return tickets (flight, train, bus etc.). Applicants shall purchase their return tickets. 

o    Within the City: No shuttle service shall be offered in İstanbul for their arrival at the hotel and departure from the hotel.  Applicants are expected to cover their local shuttle cost on their own.

o    Accommodation and Meals: Accommodation and meals shall be compensated by the academy.

Training: The academy is intended to provide students with courses over the importance of reading and writing in Turkish, the relations of those who speak Turkish as a second language with Turkish literature, literary genres, and courses that promote the cultural background of key samples of each literary genre, and applied writing practices.

 

Reward: Those who bring the courses of the academy to completion on a high note shall be presented with a certificate of participation. Successful applicants shall be eligible to be considered as an author or editor for the journal Her Boydan to be released by international students.

Important !!!

1.      Any application lodged after the aforementioned deadline shall not be taken into consideration. Should you have any problem regarding your application, you are advised to report it to the designated email before the deadline.

2. Lodging an application by filling out this form shall be viewed as a statement of final participation in the academy. Of those eligible to join the academy following an assessment, applicants who fail to join without any force majeure shall not be taken into consideration for their application in subsequent authorship academy courses.
