Media Academy in the Age of Communication: Digital Journalism Course for Youth Diaspora in France Comes to an End

Held by the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB), the media academy courses are still underway for young people with potential to pursue a career in media corporations in their diaspora and interested in the digital world. The course on Media Academy in the Age of Communication: Digital Journalism for Youth Diaspora in France was recently organized in Strasbourg.

With an overarching view to promoting the diaspora media, the project offers young people a chance to express their demands in a more effective way through digital networks.

Under the project, the competent trainers of TRT provided theoretical and applied courses to the prospects. In addition, key details were provided about the current philosophy of digital media, digital journalism in new media, use of social networks, video and editing in digital media, copy writing on digital content, and interactive digital content creation. News reports created by the participants as part of a practice on the final day of the project were reviewed by the TRT trainers. The training was concluded by a certificate ceremony.
