Middle East Youth Camp Concluded

A total of 217 university students from Syria, Iraq, Palestine, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Algeria, and Tunisia attended the program hosted at the Karacaali Youth Camp. Throughout the camp, the youth came together in various social, cultural, and sports activities.

​During the camp, participants engaged in sports activities such as swimming and canoeing, as well as various workshops including paper marbling (ebru) and mind games. One of the key highlights of the program was the culture nights where youth from different countries introduced their own cultures. In these events, students wore their local traditional attire and shared the music and cultural values of their respective countries with other participants.

​Speaking at the closing program, YTB President Abdulhadi Turus touched upon the importance of young people from different countries meeting in the same environment. Stating that it is meaningful for youth to gather around shared values in a period marked by conflict and chaos across various regions of the world, Turus expressed that differences constitute a richness.

​Also mentioning the camp facilities provided by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Turus stated that, as YTB, they aim to contribute to the establishment of permanent bonds of friendship and brotherhood among youth from different geographies by bringing them together.

​Emphasizing that it is important for the youth to remain in contact not only during the camp but also in the years ahead, Turus noted that they aim to build a strong network of brotherhood among different countries.

​Underlining that their common goal is to contribute to the formation of a more peaceful and just world, Turus expressed that bringing young people of different languages and cultures together through shared values will serve this target.

​YTB President Turus also visited various workshops within the campsite as part of the program, meeting with the students and receiving information on the activities carried out.
