Turks Abroad Discover Their Talents with YTB Turkish Awards Competition

The Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB) is organizing the "YTB Turkish Awards" competition in order to increase the competence and expressiveness of citizens living abroad in their mother tongue, Turkish. The competition also encourages citizens to create new initiatives in the field of literature specific to the Turkish Diaspora. The program is announced in separate categories with the aim of correct, proper, beautiful and widespread use of Turkish.

The contest, organized for the 4th time this year, includes the genres of diaspora children's literature in addition to essays, short stories, poetry and first books. In the competition, which will be organized in five categories in total, a separate selection committee will be formed for each category. Among the evaluation criteria that the selection committee will be based on; correct and effective use of Turkish, grammar, originality, minimum compliance with the formal and technical features of the category applied for, and style. In addition, it is also important for the evaluation that the work to be included in the competition increases and enriches the Turkish Diaspora literary production and brings new openings to this genre.

The deadline for application to the competition is June 30, 2022. Candidates will apply for the competition at the "Online Application System" address. The documents required for the application are in the relevant sections at the address. The announcement of the winners of the contest will be made on September 01, 2022.
