YTB is Around the World During Ramadan
Pazartesi, Nisan 4, 2022Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB) shares the joy and blessings of the holy month of Ramadan with citizens abroad, cognates, relatives and international students studying in Turkey. YTB organizes events all around the world during Ramadan.
Abdullah Eren, President of Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB), pointed out that this year, as in previous years, Ramadan will cause a sweet intensity in YTB activities and said, "We will reduce the bitterness of our citizens abroad who feel a bit bitter because they cannot spend Ramadan in their homeland. We will concretize our common feelings that intensify during Ramadan with brotherly Muslim communities by sitting side by side at the same iftar tables. We will ensure that our international students spend Ramadan in a beautiful way, just as if they were at home."
Rafadan Tayfa in Europe during Ramadan
At the Ramadan Festival in Dortmund, Germany, YTB will bring together Rafadan Tayfa, the beloved characters of TRT Children's channel, with young citizens for 10 days. There will also be a stand of YTB for Ramadan at the festival.
In addition, this year YTB undertook the main sponsorship of the Ramadan Tent, a traditional iftar tent project in London. Within the scope of Ramadan Tent, iftar tents will be at the service of citizens in important places in London such as Trafalgar Square, Westminster, Biritish Library. On April 18-23, YTB officials will inform the participants about the activities of the Presidency and Turkey Scholarships at YTB stands.
YTB President Abdullah Eren will also participate in Ramadan Tent Iftars and meet with representatives of the Turkish and Muslim community in London. Again, iftar programs will be organized in the form of reader-author meetings in libraries established under the name of Anatolian Reading Houses with the support of YTB in different cities of Europe.
Meeting with Cognates and Relative Communities
YTB will also organize iftar events for cognates and relatives during Ramadan. Thousands of people will be reached with iftar programs planned in a wide geography from the Balkans to Far Asia, from Central Asia to Africa. More than 20 iftar programs will be organized in different countries and regions of the world, especially Azerbaijan, TRNC, Bulgaria, Iraq and Somalia. In addition, Tatar Turks and Meskhetian Turks who came to our country from Ukraine due to the war in Ukraine will also come together in iftar programs.
International Students Come Together for Iftar
YTB organizes iftar programs for international students studying in Turkey during Ramadan. YTB Ankara Office and YTB Istanbul Office will organize iftar programs for international students during Ramadan. Within the scope of the programs, Turkey Scholarships Art Ensemble will present music concerts. In addition, international students will participate in activities to promote their countries. With the country stands that will be set up within the scope of the events, students will have the opportunity to get to know each other's cultures closely. Concerts featuring local music will also be organized within the iftar programs. A painting exhibition prepared by international students will be on display at YTB Istanbul Office during Ramadan. Academicians, NGO representatives and consular representatives will take part in the iftar programs.
We are in the same emotion from the West to the East of the World
Pointing out that YTB touches millions of people all over the world, YTB President Abdullah Eren underlined that their mission, which they carry out every day of the year, becomes more meaningful and encouraging during Ramadan. Stating that while realizing that life does not consist of physical satisfactions and curbing individual desires, the desire for peace, cooperation and doing good increases, Eren said, "Knowing that we spend Ramadan with our brothers and sisters from every geography from the westernmost to the easternmost part of the world map with the same sincere feelings adds strength to our strength."

And together with all our staff, we will ensure that our international students studying at universities in our country spend Ramadan in the most beautiful way, just as if they were at home."
YTB President Abdullah Eren finally stated the following: "I wish from Almighty Allah that all our efforts will gain consent and our intentions will materialize in our actions, and I wish that the blessed month of Ramadan will be auspicious for our country and the entire Islamic world."
